I am curious about almost everything.
A book can lead to a question. A question can lead somewhere unexpected. Sometimes it leads to a photograph; sometimes to a fountain pen, a piece of technology, an old Zippo lighter, a knife, a map, a new word, or an idea I can’t quite let go of.
I read widely, photograph things that catch my eye, collect objects that reward closer inspection, and spend an unreasonable amount of time wondering how things work.
My interests don’t fit neatly into categories. Books, photography, technology, design, history, language, objects, people and ideas; I enjoy following the thread wherever curiosity takes me.
har-ish is my personal notebook for that journey.
Here I write about things I’ve learned, things I’ve noticed, photographs I’ve made, books I’ve read, objects I’ve collected, and the occasional thought that deserves more than a passing moment.
I’m not trying to know everything.
I’m trying to remain interested in everything.
