The Platform is a dystopian meditation on human fortitude under trying circumstances. At its heart, the film asks how many of us possess the moral courage to place the interests of society above our own immediate needs. When scarcity, hierarchy and self-preservation become the governing forces, solidarity proves to be an exceptionally rare virtue. What makes the film unsettling is not merely the brutality of its world, but its suggestion that our capacity for compassion is often tested most severely when doing the right thing.
